We've had a busy couple of weeks at Sargeant Carpets, making sure as many of our brilliant customers orders for carpet, vinyls, LVT and commercial flooring were fulfilled before anticipated restrictions were imposed.

Last nights instruction from the Government, aimed at keeping the nation safe, has meant for the first time since being established in 1986, our shop is closed.

As a flooring retailer, we deal with domestic customers and commercial customers. This means we enter the homes of our domestic customers, as well as new or renovated homes, schools, colleges, hospitals, GP surgeries, factories etc.

So in short, whilst we close our doors,  we are aware we still have the following obligations to individuals and organisations:

  • Stay at home - This Government instruction relates to our staff and wonderful team of fitters, just as it does for everyone else.  Our fitters have been told to adhere to Government Instruction.
  • Look after our customers - We have been told to close our shop and to stay at home - By entering your home, site, or place of work, to fit flooring, we would put you, your family,  or your staff at unnecessary risk.  However, if an area has been left unsafe by us, we have a duty to ensure it is made safe for you and will contact you to make arrangements.
  • All outstanding orders will be filled by us when we are instructed by Government that we are able to return to work.

As  a family business, now shut up together at home, next weeks blog will have a different flavour and will highlight the ups and downs of our isolation.

If you would like to email us videos, pictures or details about your own isolation we'll share as many of them as we can in the coming weeks.

Stay safe and look after each other.

Best wishes

Roy & Julia
